I have been able to spend lots of time with some good friends recently. I'm talking great guys who are going to make a huge impact in their lifetime. I've also been around some other acquaintances that I love but are a little confused. They seem stuck in their forward progress with what God has for them. I've been noticing some trends that I'd like to share.

Real leaders don't wait to become who they are. Wherever they're at in life- they are already operating in the giftings and callings that God has given them.

Even in their developmental stages, real leaders aren't sitting around waiting for someone of notoriety to give them permission to be who they feel like God has called them to be. I see so many younger guys and gals who are frozen right where they've been for a while. They believe that before they can start moving in the anointing that God has for them, a leader must first notice them and give them permission to shine. NO WAY! Remember: "A person's gift opens doors for him, bringing him access to important people."

Try and surround yourself with good friends that see the hand of God on you. Let them encourage you to operate in the giftings that God has placed in you. Then just go for it!
